Director

Rev. Eddie Willis, a Wesley Alumni, arrived at the Ole Miss Wesley in the sumer of 2010 and began as the campus minister. He uses Word and worship to engage students and the community into a deeper understanding of Christ in their lives. With a Masters in Divinity, over twenty years of work in ministry, and serving as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church, he desires to see college young adults enter into a deep relationship with Christ.

Eddie and his wife Allyson have quickly fit back into Oxford, MS with their four children. (Eddie is originally from Oxford.)  Allyson is the College Ministry Coordinator at Oxford-University United Methodist Church.

 Interns

Rocky Shack of Tupelo, MS  became involved with the ministry two years ago (Eddie’s first year) and gives so much to outreach, worship setup, speaking at church visits. Rocky not only calls the Wesley his home, but he actually lives there. This year Rocky will be leading Men’s Studies and Wesley Outreach on campus. Ask him about his 3.0 internship in the inner-city of Mobile, AL this summer.  (Actually, he will be guiding our leaders with much of the knowledge and leadership training he gained there!)

Seminary: Rocky will be taking online seminary classes at Asbury Theological Seminary.  When he’s not working at the Wesley with Associate duties he works at GameStop in Oxford.

Patrick Salter of Atlanta, GA.  Patrick has been very involved for two years at the Wesley, serving on the Leadership Team and taking on projects that have helped Wesley grow.  Patrick’s gifts are in outreach and Freshman groups.  He will be in charge of this area, helping lead the Freshman Bible Study.  He helped with Wesley Foundation Orientations and with the Orchard UMC’s Children Ministry this summer as an intern.

Jonathan Hester comes to us from Nettleton, MS.  He will be leading the Praise Team that guides us on Thursday Nights.   He is passionate about raising up a team of musicians and singers who give God the glory.   With a summer “under the belt” at Camp Lake Stephens, he is ready to lead students in discipleship and worship. See Jonathan if you have ideas or want to try out for this area.  (The Praise Team will be a small group in itself!)

Kristin Wycoff is from Brandon, MS.  Kristin will be leading Women’s Groups and Freshman this year.  She has helped and led in all types of areas of Wesley leadership, especially leading groups on our Spring Break Mountain trip.  (Ask her about the quick trip to the emergency room.) She spent the summer at Twin Lakes in Florence, MS and is ready to apply leadership learned there with campus ministry at Ole Miss!
